]]> I find myself, several times/day, taking the time to go to START>RUN and typing ‘Calc’. If some of you don’t know, this fires up the default Windows calculator. I use it typically to figure out my bills, but there are many situations in my work environment, that I’ll need it as well.

I did many many searches for simple calculator application that can easily be brought up with a flick of a hot key and system tray click. Of course there was many options out there, but I was looking something extremely simple. This is what I found…

Calq
Calq is an incredibly easy to use “on demand” calculator that resides in your system tray and is always awaiting to be used.

Once installed, and sitting your system tray, it takes a quick and easy hot key command to pull it up. Once there, it’s almost exactly like using your built-in Windows calculator.

Have any better solutions for this? I’ve looked and looked, and this one was exactly what I was looking for.
