The image below, pretty much tells it all, but the application I’m bring you today is called RegJump, and it’s brought to you by Microsoft(Systernals) ironically.

I’ve wanted something like this for quite a while, but am now just discovering it. RegJump is a simple command utlity that allows you to browse directly to a registry ‘path’ without the need of digging. What WinHelpOnline has done, is given instructions on adding this awesome Windows utility to your right-click context menu. The problem is however that it is only compatible with Internet Explorer, and isn’t installed on every computer in the world. I really need this application when I’m at a machine that requires a registry edit and don’t want to browse through the deep and annoying registry.

I plan to implement RegJump and these below instructions to each and every PC I setup from now on.

Windows XP

1. Download regjump_xp.zip, unzip and extract the contents to a folder.

2. Double-click regjump.reg to run it.

3. Move the file regjump.htm to the C:\Windows\Web directory.

Windows Vista

1. Download regjump_vista.zip, unzip and extract the contents to a folder.

2. Double-click regjump.reg to run it.

3. Move the file regjump.htm to the C:\Windows\Web directory.
