    • ]]>     There are many online and offline applications out there to do various fun things with your photos. Whether you want to strech or skew them, convert them to black and white, or blow them up into a poster. One things I haven’t seen to be very affective, is converting your images into art such as a pencil drawing or painting.

    FotoSketcher is a simple offline application that can take any of your images and convert them into various black/white and color painting and pencil drawings. Amazingly for as easy, as fast and as cheap(FREE) as FotoSketcher is, it does an incredible job.

I remember an early version of this at my previous place of work, called Webshots. However it was loaded with malware and it cost me many many hours of desktop support.

    Desktopia is a legitimate service that allows you to select various images based on whatever genres you would like, and display them fantastically as wallpaper on your desktop. You then also have the ability to set a particular wallpaper as your permanent display. Rating wallpaper is also built-in, so you can give credit back to the where it was due, the artist.
