Reset Windows Passwords With Ubuntu Linux or with Bootable Windows CD

Here are two great ways to reset your administrator account with Ubuntu Linux or with a bootable Bart’s PE CD.

Password Renew and Bart’s PE Builder

If you can get into a booted CD with Bart’s PE bootable CD, you can use Windows Password renew to change the password from a GUI like interface.  Password Renew

Ubuntu Linux and CHNTPW

With Bart’s PE I ran into problems getting it to work on a Dell laptop.  I ended up find a great post on using Ubuntu Linux to change the password in a Linux environment.
