Protecting confidential data is highly important in today’s world. In a life scammers, identity thieves and many other crooks. I used this a long time ago, but got the paid hide files and folders software for free, using it now.
For a free program this one is good

It does what it says. It can LOCKED a folder I have on my external hard drive. I was quite surprised. The folder has about 1gb of files in it.
Great job!
I will test if it works under windows 7,will let you know soon
